Editorial: Organizational change in open innovation (OI)

Given the important differences that open innovation has with traditional inbound or close innovation, it is not surprising that it implies relevant changes in the organization that is trying to promote it. We believed the topic has the potential to attract the interest of researchers, and the studies that has been selected and published here, together with several additional high-quality submissions, proof we were not wrong. The five papers making up the special issue range from bibliometric studies to more specific quantitative and qualitative analyses. Their research questions, findings and contributions will help develop the field and open the way for several future lines of research.
