A short story, published in the anthology 'You're Late, Dad'. A science fiction story for young adults in which somebody who has been unable to speak is now able, thanks to new technology, to communicate in words for the first time. He 'speaks' of his life with the person he identifies as 'Mum', but is 'Mum's best boy' quite what he seems?
