Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s ‘Dance for Health’ programme aims to improve the hospital experience for older patients so that they can regain their confidence, overall wellbeing and physical strength and avoid readmission to hospital. The Dance for Health programme was funded by Dunhill Medical Trust to provide dance workshops for older people admitted to the Hospital. The programme ran for two years and over this time older patients were invited to take part in a weekly dance and movement activity. This summary outlines the key findings of the evaluation of this programme.
