I found the concept of this book intriguing, though not entirely clear of the perspective it would be pursuing. Helpfully, however, this was quickly clarified – and held my interest and attention. As a built-environment (architecture, urban design and planning) practitioner originally–and now an academic, my disciplinary area privileges the spatial domain as an object of enquiry, and while my recent research has sought to probe issues of professional, community and mediated identities and their agency in places, integrating temporal dimensions in a meaningful way, remains challenging. Consequently, it has been fascinating for me to review the ’Time Work: studies of temporal agency’ featured in this book…
