They survived – Now what? The case for integrated recovery pathways for cardiac arrest survivors

<p dir="ltr">Despite gains in survival after out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA), the transition from “surviving” to “thriving” remains precarious for survivors and their families. At the recent 10 Years Together Sudden Cardiac Arrest UK (SCA UK) conference, our health-care professional (HCP) track brought together clinicians, researchers, survivors and relatives. Their message was unequivocal: aftercare is everyone’s responsibility and yet, no single service takes ownership.</p>
