To the Editor,

We read with great interest the recent narrative review by Ghassemi and colleagues in Resuscitation Plus, summarizing current literature suggesting that females have worse health-related quality of life (HRQoL) after cardiac arrest, especially in the domains of physical function and mental health.1 The variability of sample size, timing of assessment, measurement tools used, and limited multivariable adjustment, however, warrant caution in the interpretation of these data. If confirmed in future, within more robust studies, these finding may signal a need to increase awareness among healthcare professionals about the unique challenges faced by female out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) survivors...
