<p dir="ltr">One of the critical challenges in forecasting relates to the question of how to effectively use human judgment to optimize predictive performance, judgment permeating all aspects of the forecasting process whatever the application area (e.g., Bolger & Harvey, 1998). While past research on the role of judgment in forecasting has frequently focused either on studying the predictive performance of unaided judgmental predictions or on the role of judgmental adjustments of (linear) model forecasts, there is an emerging necessity to understand the relevance of human intervention more broadly when designing and implementing forecasting systems...</p>
