The article offers clinical information on cervical cancer screening, risks and immunization in Great Britain. Cervical cancer has two main types namely squamous cell carcinoma and adenocarcinoma. The risk factors for cervical cancer are explained. Cervical screening was introduced on an ad-hoc basis in the 1960s, and in 1988, the National Health Service (NHS) cervical screening service was introduced. A decrease in cervical cancer cases in the country was reported between 1988 and 1997.
