This paper presents student and tutor views of a context-sensitive, location-aware mobile learning tour. An overview of the application is given, which is designed for users to explore the urban education of a small area in North London, from 1850 to the present day. The tour is authored in Mscape, and uses GPS to ‘push’ learning content to the mobile phone at the appropriate location as the user walks around the area. The tour has been evaluated by three groups of students, and some of their feedback relating to this new form of learning is presented. The feedback shows the value of
location and context sensitive mobile learning applications, and how they can enrich the learning experience, and also engage students more within the learning activity.
