Yallery Brown

Published in the 'Everystory' series by Scholastic, a new version for young readers of the East Anglian folk tale of Yallery Brown. Yallery Brown, a fairy creature, promises to help Tom, a young farm hand, with his work in return for Tom releasing him from under a stony beneath which Yallery Brown had been trapped for many years. However, the supernatural help leads to disaster for Tom.
