Marxist Essays on Education: Class and `Race’, Neoliberalism and Capitalism

This is a Marxist book. With the onset of Austerity Capitalism and Immiseration Capitalism, and with the increasing commodification, marketisation, privatisation and commercialisation of society, and of education, Marxist theory and analysis and Marxist education theory have taken on a new urgency. An urgency in both understanding what is going on- and in informing, playing a part in- the resistance, informing activism within the education arenas, and in the wider society. In this volume, there is more than critique- there is a call for anger and analysis, a call to action, a demand for theoretically informed practice in the different arenas of Resistance.
